About four months ago I went to a furniture store and picked out a dresser and a bed frame so that my bedroom looks a little more put together.
In October we had FIVE gatherings at my house and if people snooped I wanted a semi decent bedroom.
(My bedroom isn’t completely put together, but it should be there by 2030. That’s my self-imposed deadline. I hope I’m not trying to be an overachiever.)
I bought a bed frame I loved that was also on sale. Because these two things coincided, I knew I was meant to buy it.
Then, after all of the gatherings had happened, the store called to tell me the bed frame was in and they could deliver it last week.
When I saw it again, I still loved it. Then something wonderful and amazing happened. The deliver man asked me, “Where would you like your Hooker bed to go?”
I never thought I’d be asked this and yet I knew I should’ve been so much earlier in my life.
(Hooked furniture is very well made, by the way. I guess it has to be.)
