I May Be Overreacting. But I Doubt It.

I turn 40 in a week.  One week.  My knees are starting to hurt.  And my back.  And the area behind my eyes.  And the toenail on my left middle toe.

I am thinking of getting eye surgery so I can get rid of my glasses.  I’m wondering if it will make me look younger.  But right now my glasses hide the crows feet.  So if I don’t have to wear glasses, I may also need to get laser facials to get rid of the lines around my eyes.

But if my eyes look younger people will notice my laugh lines more.  So I’m going to have to get those removed too.

And my hair isn’t as shiny.  So now I may need to get my hair dyed.

But then you’ll notice I look pale.  So I’m going to have to go tanning.  Which is going to be harmful on my skin.  So I’m going to have to get some more laser facials.

I’m tired now.  It must be my age.

(I’m not adding any photos today.  It’s all just too depressing.)

Yes, it is somewhat of a downhill slide, isn’t it? I’ve got sixteen years on you so just imagine the fun I’m having! Save yourself…it’s too late for me. My neck looks like an accordion in locked position. Not much you can do about the gobbler. I hope you have a great birthday…despite the aches and pains.

I’ve heard of people getting them removed. But then you just have to keep going… I need to become best friends with a plastic surgeon.

Let me help. Since I sell Mary Kay you don’t need any surgery. I have miracle cures for the crows feet and laugh lines. If I tell you that they are REALLY bad will you buy my product?

      You are a wonderful friend

Wait til you’re 60. Then things are quite bad. Not much helps. specially if you’ve lost weight as I have. The skin tone isn’t good. Things don’t bounce back to where they should be. And there are considerable more wrinkles. I use lots of creams. Lots. They help to a degree. But you can’t hide forever. I’ve decide to accept my age with dignity. Yeah, right.
