It’s a Bed-In

Hi.  It is snowing.  There are two inches outside.  I have decided to stay in bed until it stops.  I will get up to put Star Wars on for my child, to go the bathroom, and to get more Easter candy.

This is blurry but it is hard to take a picture of the living room when you are in your bedroom and staying until spring

I do plan on going to McDonalds later and getting a soda and possibly ordering an iced hot chocolate.  It is a goal I have to get an iced hot chocolate from them.  We have two in town and both of them have this on the menu.  I ordered one on Tuesday and got a hot chocolate.  I ordered one on Wednesday and got an iced Mocha.  I ordered on yesterday at the different location, asked them what exactly an iced hot chocolate is, had them tell me in detail it is ice added to hot chocolate and received: an iced Mocha.  So I am going back to my original location and I am going to have them explain the drink to me and see what I get.

By doing this, I have learned that the chocolate mocha slushy drink I was in charge of making when I worked at a bagel store during college was really a chocolate shake with a hint of coffee.  You could drink a gallon of that stuff and after think: “Why do I have an aftertaste of coffee?”

The iced Mochas I have been receiving are the opposite.  I take a sip, think that because the hot chocolate and coffee come out of the same nozzle there is some left over coffee coming into my drink, stir it up a bit and get just a hint of chocolate.

By the time this experiment is over, I will be addicted to coffee.  BUT I WILL PREVAIL.

This is a bad picture of my view, but I would have to get off my bed to get the good camera

Except today it is snowing so I think I will get the chocolate hot.  I need something  soothing after eating half a pound of jelly beans while recalling what spring used to feel like.

Thanks for the chuckles. Glad to know I am not the ONLY one eating the Easter candy early!!

When spring does come you will have lots of pretty flowers from all that water!!

I did a similiar expreiment with Sonic drinks a few years ago. Can’t stop going there now!

    1. Marianne says:

Easter candy is my downfall. I, like your daughters, would be happy if you could scramble Cadberry Cream Eggs.

You know…you can’t expect that much from people who VEHEMENTLY declare that they only accept American currency when you ask if you can pay with Hawiian money…you would think ice would be simple, but alas….

    1. Marianne says:

Hawaiian money would be worth way more, if they really knew.

  3. Ironic Mom says:

I’m laughing. In Canada, there wouldn’t be a problem. Though you’d likely get a side order of poutine or a pound of Timbits instead.

    Good post, eh!

    1. Marianne says:

I just googled Tidbits and I want to get some this October.

After the snow fall last week we FINALLY have received some mild weather and I’m kinda thinking the snow may be gone. I have some Vicodin stock piled just incase a flake or two falls but after reading this post I’m thinking I like your candy and hot chocolate idea better!

    1. Marianne says:

I reserve Vicodin for family holidays.
