Hi. It is snowing. There are two inches outside. I have decided to stay in bed until it stops. I will get up to put Star Wars on for my child, to go the bathroom, and to get more Easter candy.
I do plan on going to McDonalds later and getting a soda and possibly ordering an iced hot chocolate. It is a goal I have to get an iced hot chocolate from them. We have two in town and both of them have this on the menu. I ordered one on Tuesday and got a hot chocolate. I ordered one on Wednesday and got an iced Mocha. I ordered on yesterday at the different location, asked them what exactly an iced hot chocolate is, had them tell me in detail it is ice added to hot chocolate and received: an iced Mocha. So I am going back to my original location and I am going to have them explain the drink to me and see what I get.
By doing this, I have learned that the chocolate mocha slushy drink I was in charge of making when I worked at a bagel store during college was really a chocolate shake with a hint of coffee. You could drink a gallon of that stuff and after think: “Why do I have an aftertaste of coffee?”
The iced Mochas I have been receiving are the opposite. I take a sip, think that because the hot chocolate and coffee come out of the same nozzle there is some left over coffee coming into my drink, stir it up a bit and get just a hint of chocolate.
By the time this experiment is over, I will be addicted to coffee. BUT I WILL PREVAIL.
Except today it is snowing so I think I will get the chocolate hot. I need something soothing after eating half a pound of jelly beans while recalling what spring used to feel like.
